This privacy notice explains how BurnBetter.co.uk collects and uses personal information when you visit the website or contact us.

Who we are

BurnBetter.co.uk is an independent stove-advice website. For privacy questions or requests, use the form on our Contact page and state that your message concerns privacy.

Information we collect

Please do not include sensitive personal information in a contact form.

How we use your information

We use contact details to read and respond to enquiries, correct or improve site content, deal with legitimate business questions and protect the website from abuse. We rely on our legitimate interests in operating and improving the website and responding to people who contact us. Where consent is required, you may withdraw it at any time.

Installation enquiries and inSpire

The form on the Find an Installer page is intended for inSpire Stove Installations. Information submitted through that form is sent to inSpire so it can respond to the installation enquiry. BurnBetter and inSpire may each need to handle the message for the purpose described on the form.

Service providers and sharing

Website hosting, WordPress, Elementor, email delivery and security or anti-spam providers may process limited information on our behalf where needed to run the site and deliver messages. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information where required by law or where reasonably necessary to protect legal rights, users or the website.

Cookies and external content

The website may use essential cookies needed for WordPress administration, security or form operation. We do not currently use behavioural advertising cookies. Some pages display images or link to content hosted by other websites, including inSpire Stove Installations. When external content loads, that provider may receive technical request information such as your IP address and browser details.

How long we keep information

We keep enquiry information only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain appropriate records, resolve disputes and meet legal or security obligations. Retention periods vary with the nature of the enquiry.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct or erase your information; restrict or object to its use; or receive a portable copy. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Security and changes

We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no website or email system can guarantee absolute security. We may update this notice when the site or its services change. The latest version will always appear on this page.
